The National Engineering Laboratory for Piezoelectricity and the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Insulating Materials carry out technical cooperation on electrical insulating materials and insulating parts. On July 23, 2010, the National High Voltage Electrical Engineering Laboratory and the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Insulation Materials signed a letter of intent for cooperation on “electrical insulating materials and insulating parts technology”. The cooperation plans to adopt the method of joint research, and 10 scientific research projects will be carried out in the near future.
The National Engineering Laboratory of High Voltage Electrical Engineering is one of the first six national engineering laboratories established by the National Development and Reform Commission. It was approved and established on September 5, 2007 and awarded on October 12, 2007; relying on the overall technology of China Xidian Group Corporation resources, and was established with Xi’an High Voltage Electric Apparatus Research Institute Co., Ltd. as the main body. The National Engineering Technology Research Center for Insulation Materials was officially approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology on April 13, 2007, and was established in cooperation with Sichuan Dongcai Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Southwest University of Science and Technology.
Insulation technology is an interdisciplinary comprehensive technology, involving materials research, structural design, test methods, process research and other engineering fields, as well as materials, electrical engineering, machinery, chemical engineering and other disciplines. The proportion of insulation accidents and faults in the field of power transmission and distribution in my country is relatively large, and the material and manufacturing level of insulating parts are lower than the international advanced level. In response to this situation, the National High Voltage Electrical Engineering Laboratory and the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Insulation Materials intend to cooperate to give full play to their respective technical advantages and carry out corresponding work on the technical improvement of electrical insulating materials used in the field of power transmission and distribution. The development of this cooperation can strengthen the technical advantages of the two centers. Through cross-industry and cross-disciplinary technical cooperation, the combination of production, education and research can be combined to jointly develop and apply new electrical insulation materials, improve product reliability, and make the field The technological development is expected to reach the international advanced or leading level.
